A Waverly man has died from injuries suffered in a crash last month. 67 year old Richard Menninga was riding his Harley Davidson Trike north on Highway 63 on September 11th when a Chevy Impala driven by 22 year old Brady Barta of Fort Atkinson turned onto the highway from Cedar Wapsi Road at around 8:40 p.m. Barta’s car was struck by Menninga’s trike. Menninga was taken by ambulance to Allen Hospital in Waterloo before being airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. He died from his injuries on Tuesday. Barta was uninjured. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
