Waverly Utilities is making plans to bring in a solar panel garden to help generate renewable power to the city. With enough community support, they will be able to place three acres of panels, enough to power 59 homes a year.
Curt Atkins, the Director of Business Operations at Waverly Utilities explains the process and benefits solar panels will have to customers:
Customers will not have to worry about installation or maintenance costs. The panels will be located in the Waverly Industrial Park behind the railroad tracks, away from residential areas. If interested, people can preregister for a panel by going to waverlyutilities.com.
