WHC CEO Resigned Unexpectedly

The Waverly Health Center CEO has unexpectedly stepped down after less than a year on the job, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Matt Johnson submitted his resignation notice last week. His resignation is effective immediately but he will receive benefits through January. Phil Jones, chair of the board of trustees, says Johnson’s departure was unexpected and came with no reason. Jodi Gerst, the chief nursing officer, has been named the acting CEO. Jones says they are evaluating their options and are not immediately entering into a search process.
