Woman Arrest for Wal-Mart Theft

A Waterloo woman has been charged with stealing cart loads of items from Walmart on at least 3 different occasions, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 31 year old Shaquita McCray allegedly walked out of the store without paying for the items in her cart first on September 18. She then did it twice more, once on September 20 and once on October 3. The total price of the items taken was over $1500. Police were able to use license plates to tie the thefts to McCray. When police tried to arrest her at her home McCray allegedly struggled, kicked, and tried to bite an officer. She has been charged with second degree theft, assault on a police officer and interference. Her bond has been set at $6,500.
