A Cedar Rapids woman has been arrested for attempting to help her boyfriend escape custody in Black Hawk County, according to KWWL. 23 year old Donsque Donston has been charged with Conspiracy to Assist a Jail Inmate Escape. Her boyfriend, Tyrone Copeland, was scheduled for a medical transport from the Black Hawk County Jail to Allen Hospital. Donston arrived at the hospital just before the medical transport arrived and would act as the getaway driver. The plan, however, was discovered when deputies reviewed phone conversations between the two recorded by the jail inmate phone recording system. Donston is being held on a $25,000 bond. Copeland is awaiting extradition to Franklin County, Ohio.
