Waterloo Police have taken a woman into custody who was out of jail awaiting sentencing, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Megan Palmers was wanted after leaving the county, which was prohibited as part of her release. Officers spotted her in her Chevrolet Impala around 1:30 Wednesday morning. When police attempted a traffic stop, Palmers took off. She allegedly sped through neighborhoods before she got out of the vehicle and ran towards a house. Police were able to take her into custody. She was awaiting sentencing after pleading to Burglary and Conspiracy charges in a Cedar Falls robbery in 2021 in which the victim was shot in the leg.
