Woman Charged with Stealing from Non-Profit

A Jesup woman has been arrested and charged with theft after money from a non-profit went missing, according to KWWL. 65 year old Cynthia Gryp was arrested by Waterloo police on Saturday. Gryp is accused of writing fraudulent checks to herself when she was the office administrator for the Family & Children’s Council. While the exact total Gryp is accused of stealing is unknown, it is under $10,000. The irregularities in finances were not discovered until Gryp had left the agency. She was released after being arrested on Saturday.
