A Waterloo woman has been arrested for allegedly falsely claiming that she had been shot, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police say that 39 year old Edwina Lewis called 911 on Monday night to report that she had been shot in the foot. When five police officers, a Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Deputy, and Waterloo Fire Rescue paramedics arrived on scene they found Lewis walking without difficulty and no signs of a gunshot wound to any part of her body. Court records say Lewis had made several other calls to 911 in the previous days that turned out to be false reports.
