Woman Guilty of Running Over Another Woman

A Waterloo woman who ran over her soon-to-be ex-husband’s new girlfriend in 2020 has been found guilty of Serious Injury by Vehicle and Leaving the Scene of a Serious Injury Accident, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Marilyn Meron was in the process of divorcing Jacob Meron when she was called to her mother-in-law’s home to pick up some of her belongings. While there she encountered the new girlfriend, Katline Woods. Marilyn slapped Woods in the backyard before returning to her car. Woods chased after Marilyn. Woods denies trying to open the door but her hand somehow became trapped in driver’s side door handle and she lost her balance and was run over by the car. Woods was flown to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics after suffering a lacerated liver, broken ribs, broken collar bone, fractured scapula, fractured eye socket, and other injuries. Marilyn Meron will be sentenced at a later date. Woods and Jacob Meron have since broken up.
