A Waterloo woman was arrested last week for allegedly hitting a man with her car and crashing into a house back in May, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police say that 37 year old Carolyn Mallit got into an argument with Deshon Holmes on May 5th. After the argument, Mallit drove her Chevrolet Malibu at Holmes while he was on the sidewalk, striking him. She then drove through a chain link fence and hit a home. Damage to the house was estimated at more than $17,000. Mallit was taken into custody on Wednesday after her Malibu was involved in a collision, from which she tried to walk away from. She was charged with Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury and first degree Criminal Mischief.
