A Waterloo woman has been sentenced to probation after a preschooler shot themselves with a gun she bought, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 23 year old Jamie Graham was sentenced to five years of probation for Making a False Statement for a Firearm Purchase. Graham accompanied 24 year old Dmontrey “Leafo” Redmond of Cedar Rapids to a gun store. Redmond was prohibited from possessing guns so he provided a money card to Graham and picked out the guns she would purchase. In December of 2020 a 4 year old found a gun in the Cedar Rapids home and fired it, hitting themselves in the chin and head. The child survived the shooting. Redmond was arrested after shooting at a group of teens in a Cedar Rapids alley in November of 2020.
