An Orchard woman has been sentenced for stealing over $21,000 from a Charles City law firm, according to KIMT. 61 year old Theresa Farmer pleaded guilty to second degree Theft after she stole the money from her employer over the course of a decade from 2012 to 2022. Farmer admitted to her crime. She has been given a deferred judgment and ordered to spend five years on probation. She must also pay a civil penalty of just over $1,000 and restitution of just more than $7,000. The conviction will be removed from her record if she fulfills the terms of her sentence.
