The Waverly Police Department responded to a bicycle accident on the Waverly Rail trail last night at 8:22 pm. The injured party struck the rear tire of another bicyclist. She was wearing a helmet however according to Captain Don Eggleston she suffered severe injuries and was transported directly to University of Iowa Hospitals by air care. Her condition is unknown and no name has been released at this time.
