Cedar Falls police arrested two women on theft charges on Friday. Police were called to the Von Maur at College Square Mall at 11am for a report of a larceny in progress. Upon arrival, two female subjects were identified that were stealing multiple items. When confronted by officers outside of the mall, they ran back into the store and then were later apprehended inside the mall. Officers seized over $4,000.00 in clothing. Shayler Tiyanna Arrington and Shimirio Shivell Arrington are each charged with 2nd Degree Theft, a Class D felony and Interference with Official Acts, a simple misdemeanor.
