The City of Denver says they have received complaints about yard signs being too close to the street. The City says property owner who wish to put up a yard sign of any sort, including political, business advertising, garage sale, real estate for sale, and open house signs, must place them 13 feet from the curb. For a majority of streets in Denver 13 feet is the property line. That distance keeps the signs on private property and out of the street Right-of-Way. Any sign placed in the Right-of-Way will be picked up and taken to City Hall.
