A nine year old Waterloo boy struck by an SUV on Friday night has died from his injuries, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. A Honda CRV driven by a 71 year old man was traveling southbound on East Mullan Avenue at around 7:20 p.m. when it left the roadway and struck the boy in a yard. The CRV was found a short distance away, crashed into a short retaining wall. The driver was unconscious. He was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. The identities of both the boy and the driver have not been released. The investigation into the incident is ongoing at this time.
