YouTube Channel Disrupts Council Meeting

There was more YouTube related drama at Monday night’s Waterloo City Council meeting, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Two men who are part of a YouTube channel called the “Butt Crack News Network” showed up to the meeting wearing a hospital gown and a T-shirt with an expletive directed at the City Council on it. They were also holding a cardboard sign that asked for donations for homeless veterans on one side and directed the same expletive towards police on the other. Once the public comment portion of the meeting started, one of the men refused to state his name and then got into a confrontation with Mayor Dave Boesen on whether or not that was necessary. Councilmember Hector Salamanca Arroyo then called for a recess, which then led to adjournment for the night. The two men are associates of another YouTuber Beau Bish, whose content is based around disrupting local government and police. He was arrested in December after yelling at former councilmember John Chiles, who served on a jury for an earlier trial of Bish’s.
