Thursday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock girls soccer team punched their ticket to State by beating the 12th ranked Xavier Saints 5-0. The top-ranked Go-Hawks got two goals a piece from Anna Stromberg and Keiri Holmquist and a goal from Anaka Ott in the victory.
The Go-Hawks will be the 1-seed and will face 8-seed North Polk in Des Moines on Wednesday. Coverage begins at 12:30 on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3. This is the Go-Hawk girls 17th trip to the State Tournament.
