19 Dogs Rescued in Brandon

The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office along with Wildthunder Wildlife and Animal Rehabilitation workers rescued 19 dogs from a home in Brandon Tuesday, according to KWWL. Some of the dogs were missing hair and scratching themselves. Conditions were described as a hoarder situation with feces and debris everywhere. A vet will soon assess the health of the dogs. They are currently being cared for by Wildthunder, however, some will eventually move to Cedar Bend Humane Society. Shelters in Vinton and Independence are also helping with supplies. No charges have been announced to this point.
