Tuesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock girls lost to Wahlert Catholic 52-46. Seniors Sasha Wilson and Abbie Draper led the Go-Hawks in the loss with 10 points a piece. Wahlert is the 8-seed at State following the upset win. The Go-Hawks finished the season 21-3 and champions of the Northeast Iowa Conference. Abbie Draper and Trinidee Moore were named 1st team All Conference and Annika Behrends, Macy Smith and Sasha Wilson were 2nd team All Conference.
In other Regional Finals: Cedar Falls edged West Des Moines Valley 58-49 in overtime and Waterloo West beat Iowa City High 64-51 to qualify for the Class 5A State Tournament.
