A Waterloo woman has been arrested after her three year old was found wandering the streets earlier this month, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Several people called 911 around 11:15 a.m. on August 14th to report a toddler all alone in the area of Iowa and Dane Streets. The child was found with dirt caked to their feet, insect bites all over her body, and a full diaper. When police took the child back to her home, about two blocks away, they found two other children, ages 7 and 9, and no adults. Neighbors and construction workers in the area told police that the children are frequently left unattended. Police say the home also had no furniture and there were insects and rotting food on the floor. The mother, 30 year old Saydee Poole, was taken into custody and charged with three counts of misdemeanor Child Endangerment. She was released pending trial.
