For the 3rd year the Iowa High School Athletic Association and Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union have cooperated to impose a week of no-contact between athletes and coaches. This has become known as Family Week. From yesterday through Sunday the 30th there are no camps, clinics, organized workouts, team meetings or other such activities.
Many really enjoy this rule, including Waverly-Shell Rock athletic director Greg Bodensteiner.
Next year’s Family Week is from July 28th through August 4th.
