Wednesday night on Y99.3 the 2nd ranked Wapsie Valley Warriors punched their return ticket to the 1A State Volleyball Tournament by sweeping St. Ansgar 25-15, 25-16, 25-14. The Warriors will be the 2-seed and play 7-seed Burlington Notre Dame at 5:30 Tuesday night. We will have the coverage.
In other 1A action top-ranked Janesville swept North Butler 25-14, 25-7, 27-25 to return to State. Janesville will be the 1-seed and will face 8-seeded St. Albert Council Bluffs Tuesday evening at 5:30. We will have the coverage.
Wednesday night on KWAY Country in Class 2A the 6th ranked Denver Cyclones beat Grundy Center 25-21, 25-19, 25-22 to go to the State Tournament for the first time in school history. Denver will be the 5-seed and will play the 4-seed Boyden Hull Tuesday afternoon at 3:00. We will have the coverage.
In other Class 2A action Sumner-Fredericksburg swept Hudson 25-14, 25-19, 25-14 to advance to State. The Cougars will be the 6-seed and face 3-seeded Dike-New Hartford Tuesday afternoon at 3:00. We will have the coverage.
