Local Boys Named All-District

The Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association has named their All-District Teams. Several area boys were honored in the Northeast District.

In Class 3A second baseman Connor Havlovic and utility player Kurby Vowels from Waverly-Shell Rock were named to the first team; catcher Carter Langreck and Go-Hawk utility player Brodey Key made the second team.

In Class 2A Denver first baseman Brock Farley and Dike-New Hartford pitcher Reece Beuter made the first team. On the second team was pitcher Bryce Phelps of Denver, pitcher Drew Sonneberg of Dike-New Hartford, pitcher of Blake Freeseman of Columbus, shortstop Brett Meyer of Sumner-Fredericksburg, catcher Zak Wauters of Dike-New Hartford and Columbus third baseman Ben Sinnott.

In Class 1A making the first team was pitcher Bryce Schares, outfielder Kendall Becker and Cael Frost of Don Bosco alongside catcher Connor Franzen and utility player Trevor Sauerbrei of Wapsie Valley. ON the second team was second baseman Fisher Ohrt and outfielder Lewis Havel of Don Bosco, Wapsie Valley outfielder Blayde Bellis, utility player Austin Bienemann of Nashua-Plainfield and Hudson utility player Jacob Murray.
