A 19-year-old has been killed in a crash after losing control of his motorcycle Wednesday. Cedar Falls Police say he tried illegally passing two vehicles at high speeds, when he lost control and hit the center barrier at Highway 58 and Viking Rd.
Witnesses on scene were performing CPR on the driver, and he was then taken to the hospital with major head injuries, but did not survive. Police say he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The victim’s name is not being released at this time. No one else was injured in the crash.
