The sports world is still on hold. Iowa may be the only state in the union that has school sports to play yet this academic year. Baseball and softball is played in the Summer in Iowa. Of the 48 states that offer organized school baseball and softball Iowa is the only one that plays in the Summer months. Iowa’s season is still in jeopardy but a June 1st start date offers hope to area sluggers. The hope of most coaches and players is to squeeze in an abbreviated schedule. That is surely in limbo but those that love the sports are happy to have some hope.
