Former Go-Hawk and
current Wartburg Knight Payton Draper was
selected to compete for the USA Division III Basketball Select Team
on the 2020 Brazil Tour. The tour is scheduled for July 6-15.
The
USA DIII Basketball Select Teams invites men’s and women’s players
from NCAA DIII colleges and universities throughout the USA that have
been recognized by the NCAA and their conferences. This tour is
designed to expose players to a great international basketball
experience while providing a once in a lifetime opportunity for
educational, cultural and social growth.
The team will meet in
Orlando for a brief orientation before departing for Brazil. During
the trip, the team will play four games and do some sightseeing at
the Christ Statue and Corcavado Mountain, and Copacabana Beach.
