Thursday night on Y99.3 Waverly-Shell Rock softball had their season come to an end as they lost to Mason City 4-1. The Go-Hawks fought Mason City into extra innings tied 1-1 when the Mohawks scored 3 runs in the top of the 9th. The Go-Hawks were unable to answer. Waverly-Shell Rock finishes the season with a 4-12 record.
Thursday night in area Regional softball: Iowa City West defeated Waterloo West 10-2 and Center Point-Urbana beat Waterloo East 9-6 to end their season.
