The New Hampton Tribune is reporting that the New Hampton School Board is looking at options to remove Waverly-Shell Rock from the conference or other potential options including the Chickasaws leaving. The board says Waverly-Shell Rock’s perceived lack of sportsmanship is the issue. Waverly-Shell Rock has finished last in the conference sportsmanship rankings since 2008. There is no provision in the conference constitution for removing another school. New Hampton and Waverly-Shell Rock (previously just Waverly) have been in the conference for 100 years.
