Thursday at the Drake Relays Waverly-Shell Rock athletes had great showings. Reagan Dahlquist jumped 5’5” and placed 4th in the high jump and Emma Hoins set a new personal record of 10 minutes 23 seconds and placed 11th in the 3,000 meter run.
The Cedar Falls 4×400 team set a Drake Relays record of 3:16.67 to best the record that was set in 2006.
Wartburg’s Joe Freiburger broke a school record in the 5K at the Blue Oval. The Knight finished 2nd in the competition that featured mostly division-I runners.
Former Go-Hawk and current Iowa State University veteran Abby Caldwell won her first Drake title. The 7th year senior won the steeplechase in dominating fashion.
