W-SR Hammers West Delaware to Advance

Thursday night in Sub-State soccer on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock boys dismantled West Delaware 16-0. In the game Jeremie Poudrier broke two school records. Poudrier scored 9 goals besting the previous record of 7 goals in a game and he now sits at 37 goals in the season surpassing the previous record of 34. The Go-Hawks will play Decorah at home on Monday.

Thursday night in other boys soccer Will Curtis scored 5 goals to break the Denver school record for goals in a season as he now has 45 as Denver beat New Hampton 9-0 to advance in Sub-State.

In other Sub-State soccer the Columbus boys crushed Belmond-Klemme 9-0.
