Waterloo East recently voted to leave the Mississippi Valley Conference after the ’22-’23 school year. The Trojans will join a new conference comprised of teams leaving the CIML.
This news has prompted fans of prep sports to wonder what the MVC might do and how this all could affect Waverly-Shell Rock, as the Northeast Iowa Conference will be down to six teams beginning this Fall as Oelwein is leaving to join the NICL.
