Wednesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock baseball team swept Charles City to gain sole possession of 2nd place in the Northeast Iowa Conference. The Go-Hawks won Game 1 10-3 behind Chance Key’s 13 strikeouts and his 4-4 game with a double and home run. In Game 2 the Go-Hawks won 9-1 in game where Dylan Stockdale scored four runs.
Waverly-Shell Rock will be back on the road tonight at Forest City. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3. The Go-Hawks are on a 10 game winning streak.
