Wednesday night on Y99.3, defending Class 1A softball champs Clarksville hammered Wapsie Valley 12-0 in 4 innings. 8th grader Claire Lodge hit a grand slam for her first career homer in the win. Clarksville will play Don Bosco Friday at 7:00 in Clarksville.
Wednesday night on KWAY Country Denver upset Hudson 1-0 in the Class 2A Quarterfinals. The game was scoreless until the top of the 6th and then the Cyclones held on to win. Denver will play Alburnett in Alburnett Friday at 7:00.
Also Wednesday night in Class 2A action Waterloo Columbus crushed Aplington-Parkersburg 12-0 in 4 innings. The Sailors will host South Hardin Friday at 7:00.
