UNI volleyball player Carly Spies has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Spies dominated the block for the Panthers, leading the team to a 2-1 mark in the GBD Invite over the weekend. Spies finished with a team-high 17 blocks while adding 25 kills and a .311 hitting percentage.
