Tuesday night in college volleyball Wartburg beat Grinnell in 4 sets 25-13, 25-20, 10-25, 29-27.
Wartburg’s Katie Foster and Kylie Bildstein swept the American Rivers Conference Volleyball Players of the Week honors. Foster was named overall Female Athlete of the week, while being named Defensive Player of the Week. Bildstein was named Offensive Player of the Week.
Tuesday former Go-Hawk Sarah Campbell and Joy Smith scored as the Wartburg women’s soccer team edged St. Olaf College 2-1.
Former Go-Hawk Olivia Phillips was named the American Rivers Conference Tennis Player of the Week.
Wartburg football player Ben Bryant was named the American Rivers Confernce Special Teams Player of the Week. The Western Dubuque prep returned five punts for a total of 98 yards, with a long of 39 yards. Additionally, he returned one kickoff for 21 yards.
