UNI men’s basketball earned the first win of the Missouri Valley Conference season Sunday afternoon as the Panthers defeated the Evansville Purple Aces 83-61 at the McLeod Center. Cedar Falls native AJ Green led all scorers with 18 points. Waverly native Austin Phyfe is now just 68 points from moving past his dad Steve’s career points as a Panther mark.
