Two members of the UNI softball team have been honored by the Missouri Valley Conference for their play in the opening weekend of conference action. The MVC named redshirt-junior Kamryn Shaffer softball Player of the Week while freshman Mya Dodge was honored as Newcomer of the Week for the second time this season. Over the weekend the Panthers swept Southern Illinois in a three game series to open MVC play.
UNI head men’s basketball coach Ben Jacobson has been named as one of 20 finalists for the 2022 Hugh Durham National Coach of the Year Award. The annual award is presented to the top mid-major men’s basketball coach in NCAA Division I.
