Tuesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock boys soccer team picked up its first win of the year beating Charles City 2-1. The Go-Hawks got a goal and an assist from Andrew Mohan and a goal from Jordan Bienemann in the first half. Charles City responded with a goal from Saint-Pierre Muamba early in the second half but could never get the equalizer. Waverly-Shell Rock is now 1-4 on the year and Charles City is 0-5.
Tuesday at the Hudson Invite the Waverly-Shell Rock girls track finished 5th with 54 points, Denver was 2nd with 114 and Decorah won the event with 54.
