MercyOne’s parent companies will become one single parent company by this summer, according to KWWL. Since 1988, MercyOne has operated under Trinity Health and CommonSpirit Health. It was announced Tuesday that Trinity will now be the sole parent company. Trinity feels this will result in a stronger, more cohesive health system better equipped to offer convenient and personalized care. MercyOne includes 16 medical centers, 27 affiliate organizations, and over 420 care sites, including a clinic in Waverly and hospitals in Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Oelwein, and Mason City.
