A Charles City woman accused of growing marijuana will plead not guilty, according to KIMT. 33 year old Joanna Byers has been charged with Manufacture of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, and Failure to Use a Drug Tax Stamp. She is accused of trying to hide or dispose of 11 unprocessed marijuana plants on April 15th. Over 19 grams of marijuana were found in her possession on April 18th. Byers’ trial is scheduled to start September 14th.
