Cedar Falls Public Safety will offer a series of active shooter training courses, which will be free to the public, according to KWWL. There will be four sessions beginning July 21st from 2-3pm, then on August 4th from 7-8pm, August 11th from 2-3pm, and August 18th from 7-8pm. The course, which is titled “A Citizen’s Response to Active Shooter Situations,” endeavors to train people to increase their survivability and help others increase their survivability in an active shooter situation. The course will be presented by Lieutenant Dennis O’Neill. You can reserve a spot by contacting Cedar Falls Public Safety.
