Two people were sent to the hospital in Waterloo after being shot in separate shootings overnight Sunday into Monday, according to KWWL. The first shooting was reported around 11:30pm. Officers were called to the 700 block of Logan Avenue where they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital by private vehicle. The second shooting was reported around 4:40 Monday morning. In that case, officers were called to the 800 block of South Street. Two males approached the victim and attempted to rob him. They eventually fired two rounds at him. He was taken to the hospital. Both victims were treated for injuries that are not thought to be life threatening. Investigations into both shootings are still ongoing.
