A New Hartford woman was injured after a crash with a FedEx truck Tuesday afternoon. 79 year old Mary Jorgensen was traveling eastbound along Beaver Valley Street while 26 year old Brandon Schmitz of Cedar Falls was headed southbound on Butler Avenue. According to the Iowa State Patrol Schmitz failed to yield at the stop sign and struck Jorgensen broadside. Jorgensen was taken to the Grundy Center Hospital by private vehicle. She was wearing her seat belt at the time. Schmitz was cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way.
