Areas of Northeast Iowa are recovering from the flood waters caused by heavy rains early this week. River levels on many major rivers crested in areas north of the Cedar Valley late in the week but did not reach levels recorded in the last big flood of 2008. The Cedar River in Waverly is forecast to crest below minor flooding levels as the river is expected to stay within it’s banks.
