Tuesday night in high school hoops on Y99.3 Dike-New Hartford swept Denver in a conference tilt. The Wolverines won the girls game 75-33 as Payton Petersen scored 29 points for Dike-New Hartford. In the boys game Dike-New Hartford seized the lead late to beat Denver 55-51.
In other boys basketball: Aplington-Parkersburg crushed Columbus 94-27, Dunkerton smashed Tripoli 96-68, Janesville edged Riceville 56-53, Jesup ran by Sumner-Fredericksburg 69-39, Wapsie Valley clipped Hudson 67-65 and Des Moines Hoover crushed Waterloo East 53-36.
In other girls basketball: Cedar Falls beat Cedar Rapids Washington 57-41, Aplington-Parkersburg ran by Columbus 57-37, Riceville crushed Janesville 63-19, Sumner-Fredericksburg beat Jesup 55-47, Hudson slammed Wapsie Valley 52-25 and Waterloo West beat Prairie 58-50.
