Tuesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock basketball teams swept Charles City. The Go-Hawk girls got17 points from Brenna Bodensteiner in a 79-18 win. The boys game was sent to overtime by Charles City and double-overtime by Waverly-Shell Rock with buzzer beaters as the Go-Hawks won 81-77 in Double OT.
Tuesday night on Y99.3 the Dunkerton Raiders swept the Janesville Wildcats. In the girls game Peyton Smith led all scorers with 20 points as Dunkerton won 52-37. In the boys game Dylan Marquart led the Raiders to an 85-39 win with his 21 points.
In other boys basketball: Kennedy beat Cedar Falls 63-54, Clarksville topped Tripoli 65-51, Don Bosco beat Riceville 78-55, Grundy Center edged Sumner-Fredericksburg 54-51 and Wapsie Valley topped AGWSR 62-40.
In girls basketball: Clarksville pounded Tripoli 59-20, Riceville ran over Don Bosco 60-16, Grundy Center clipped Sumner-Fredericksburg 50-46, AGWSR outlasted Wapsie Valley 38-31, Waterloo East smashed Des Moines East 55-11 and Waterloo West beat Jefferson 64-37.
