Monday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock girls beat Gilbert 49-37 on Senior Night. The Go-Hawks were led by Emma Thompson’s 15 points.
Monday night on Y99.3 the Wapsie Valley boys beat Turkey Valley 77-57 after trailing by four points at halftime. Warrior star Mason Harter collected his 1,000th career rebound in the game. Harter is also a 1,000 point scorer.
Monday night in other girls basketball: Saint Ansgar beat Clarksville 52-35, Jesup beat Columbus 62-48, Denver topped Union 68-48, Nashua-Plainfield beat North Butler 42-31 and Aplington-Parkersburg got by Sumner-Fredericksburg 53-46.
In boys basketball: Clarksville edged Saint Ansgar 60-56, Denver edged Union 70-68 and North Butler beat Nashua-Plainfield 52-37.
