Thursday night the 7th ranked Waverly-Shell Rock boys basketball team outlasted Pella 62-56 to advance to the Sub-State Championship Game. The Go-Hawks got 23 points from Asa Newsom and 19 from Luke Frazell in the victory.
The Go-Hawks will play Des Moines Hoover Monday night in Nevada on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3. Pregame at 6:40 and tip-off at 7:00. Hoover beat Williamsburg 65-49 Thursday night.
