Trial Set for Bank Fraud

The North Carolina woman accused of trying to defraud First Bank branches in Waverly, Plainfield, and Cedar Falls has had her trial set, according to KIMT. 49 year old Gloria Pantelis of Thomasville, North Carolina has pleaded not guilty to first degree Theft, Forgery, and Identity Theft. Investigators say Pantelis stole a social security card and driver’s license from a vehicle that was parked at George Wyth State Park in October of 2022. She then attempted to use those items to cash checks at the bank branches. She will go to trial on April 25th.
